WCO publishes accepted amendments for HS 2028
The next HS edition responds to changing products, public-health needs and environmental priorities.
The WCO announced that the HS 2028 amendments had been accepted. The package contains 299 sets of changes, updating the international classification used to identify goods in trade rules and statistics.
New distinctions include health-related supplies and environmental concerns. A future edition is not an instruction to replace the code on a current shipment: the applicable national tariff and its effective version still govern the declaration.
