EU guidance: a separate handling fee is due in November
The temporary customs duty and the handling fee are separate cost items.
The Commission’s 7 October update states that a EUR 2 Union handling fee applies from 1 November 2026, separately from the temporary EUR 3 customs duty.
As of our 22 October check, the November measure is still upcoming. Confirm its scope and the declaration-based charge breakdown with the shipping service.
