Singapore explains GST treatment of low-value goods
Seller registration, transport mode and CIF value all matter.
Singapore Customs updated its guidance on 25 March. Goods costing no more than SGD 400 per item and imported by air or post may have GST collected at checkout by a registered overseas seller or marketplace.
Import relief still depends on transport mode and total CIF value. Keep the seller’s GST evidence and pass the relevant details through the clearance process.
